The ability to delegate effectively is critical to a leader's success. On a regular basis, a leader must decide which tasks should be undertaken personally and which should be delegated. It is a necessary part of the leader's role as he or she works with, and through, others to get work done. Hold on too tight, and risk being isolated and overwhelmed.
