Seven Criteria for Evaluating Developmental Assignments
During the next twelve months I am sure that you will find yourself involved in dozens of job tasks and projects. Not all of these assignments have the same developmental value. One key step you can take to accelerate your development as a professional is to determine which assignments are likely to have the greatest developmental yield. Leadership research over the past twenty years suggests that work assignments that help people to grow in their jobs fulfill at least some of the following seven criteria.
