There and back again – Transport and accommodation
Some people in the industry manage to work locally to their home, particularly if they work at a specific venue. Many others, however, will travel, sometimes globally, working with a touring show or a company that tours with many shows. The method of transportation can vary widely. Here are a few common ways of how gigs and tours can be carried out.
Fly-outs
On a fly-out you will usually send, or take, some gear (but maybe not all of it) to your destination and fly-out on the day before, or even the same day as the gig.
