‘India will be prosperous, but not happy, if we do not fix our governance,’ laments the well-known writer, Gurcharan Das. Good governance is the link between economic prosperity and a fulfilling life. India's citizens and public officials have finally begun to sense its importance, as we see from the events of the last few months. This realization, however, needs to be firmly grounded on a clearly designed pathway that can ultimately lead to improved governance.
