This chapter shows you how to save a selection from the Paths panel in the Channels panel so that it can be reused and saved as a selection.

The last chapter looked at paths—how they can be saved in a document and how they can be made into selections. However, there may be other situations where you want to save a selection that you created, but it did not start off as a path. How that is done and where these selections are saved are explored next.
