Facilitated Diagnostic—Thursday

Roxanne Barnes arrived a few minutes early and was escorted to the Cosmetics Products Executive Conference Room. Cynthia had the room set up with audiovisual equipment and refreshments. Greg and Roxanne spent a few minutes sharing backgrounds and discussing the situation at Cosmetics Products that precipitated the invitation. After Sara, David, Alexandra, Matt, Gabriella, and Zachary had joined them, Greg introduced Roxanne and reviewed the objectives for the day.
“I want to thank Roxanne for joining us for the next two days, and thank the rest of you for clearing your schedules. Our business situation is well known to everyone here. Today, we’ll share more of the details with Roxanne. Here’s the agenda. We’ll start with our business objectives and the problems we’re having in achieving them. Then Roxanne will take a quick tour of the Atlanta manufacturing facility just to get a better feel of what we make and how we make it. After the tour, she’ll meet with each of you alone. Later we’ll meet here again to conduct a structured Diagnostic assessment. Roxanne will help us through this so we can articulate and understand our problems better and begin to see what we need to do.
