System Analysis
In the previous chapter, a simple system for bearing-angle estimation was introduced to illustrate the direct application of signal processing methods. With additional transceivers, the procedure can be extended to the estimation of three-dimensional bearing-angle parameters. It also suggested the extension to the active mode for the inclusion of range estimation.
The key objective of this chapter is to convert the estimation procedure from the acoustical sensor systems for parameter estimation to multi-dimensional imaging.
