Acoustical Imaging Applications

Chapter 3 provided the foundation of the linear shift-invariant model of wave propagation. The model is now fully established with the impulse response, transfer function, and resolution analysis. This allows Fourier analysis to take the center role of system modeling and image reconstruction.

The analysis in Chapter 3 was based on the concept of coherent wave propagation, which is the building block of the linear model.
