Projects or Tasks

One of the fundamental beliefs of action learning is that we learn best when undertaking action, which we then reflect on and learn from. A project or task gives the group something to focus on that is real and important, something that is relevant and important to them. It creates a “hook” on which to test stored-up knowledge.

There are several criteria to determine if the project is appropriate for an action learning group:

The project chosen by or for the group must be a real organizational problem, task, or issue that needs to be addressed.
