Working with Operations Masters
The key to successful management of operations masters is in knowing what each operations master does and being able to readily diagnose problems that arise when an operations master isn’t functioning properly. In addition to guidelines I provided previously for placing operations masters, you may want to consider transferring the three domain-level roles from the first domain controller that you installed in the forest root domain to an additional domain controller that has a high performance level.
