Deploying Software Using Group Policies

After you obtain or create the Windows Installer file, you can deploy the application using group policies in Windows Server 2003 Active Directory. Group policies provide a means to advertise or make the application available for installation to workstations or users. After you configure the appropriate group policy, the next time the computer boots up, or the next time the user logs on, the fact that the new software package is available is advertised to the computer. The application is then ready to be installed on that computer.
