Configuring Security Settings with Group Policies
One of the critical components to managing user desktops is configuring security on those desktops. Maintaining a consistent security configuration across thousands of desktops is almost impossible without some type of central management. Group policies can be used to provide that central management. Some of the security settings configured with group policies can be implemented only at the domain level. Other settings can be configured at any container level.
