Currently, the wireless voice industry supports mainly mobile phone services. However, the computer industry is currently very engrossed with ad hoc wireless networking. Bluetooth aims to merge the two industries and their services into one common device. Wireless devices can now be interfaced to other voice and data-capable mobile devices. Bluetooth is not a new technology; it is a new use of existing technologies.
