Chapter 4. Creating an Interactive Map
A full-featured PDF document—that is, one containing a navigation structure—more closely resembles a Web page than a simple document. Within a PDF document, you can add buttons, links, and bookmarks, providing a path for your users to make their way through your document.
Unlike a Web page, which sometimes can contain broken links or images that don’t load, a PDF document maintains its appearance and integrity at all times, making Acrobat 7 a great option for creating a wide variety of structured documents.
