Chapter 11. Working with Technical Drawings
Acrobat 6 Professional was the first version of Acrobat that allowed you to work with layered technical drawings, created in either Microsoft Visio or AutoCAD. Continuing this trend for supporting technical and engineering information in PDF format, Acrobat 7 Professional offers additional tools and options, including a tool that enables you to convert metadata stored within a drawing so that you can view it in the PDF file. Metadata is embedded in the source program in Windows, either AutoCAD or Microsoft Visio, and can be read in Acrobat or Adobe Reader using the Object Data tool.
