Chapter Three. Creating PDF Files in Distiller and Acrobat

Only a limited number of programs have a PDFMaker installed with Acrobat 9, and not all programs have internal PDF-generating options for export. In many applications—illustration programs, for example—you can generate other file formats that can then be processed using Acrobat Distiller 9. Distiller is a separate program installed with the Acrobat 9 installation process and is used to convert EPS (Encapsulated PostScript), PS (PostScript), and a specialized Windows format called PRN to the PDF format.
