Spatial Interpolation

The pages above have all referred to a keyframe’s temporal interpolation—how it moves throughout time. This property can be applied to all keyframes. However, Position keyframes have another parameter: spatial interpolation, or how they move throughout space. This gives us more options and control over how an object moves.

Position Keyframes in the Comp Panel

You can see an object’s motion path in the Composition panel. Just like in the Graph Editor, you can click and drag keyframes (represented by squares) to change the points an object hits as it moves.
