The Character Panel
The Character panel is how we edit our text’s appearance. Here’s the rule of thumb with editing text: If the whole layer is selected, changing anything in this panel affects the entire layer. With text selected with the Type tool, this panel affects only the selected text.
Font
Choose from the fonts installed on your system. Note that a subscription to Adobe Creative Cloud gives you unlimited access to Adobe Fonts. Head to https://fonts.adobe.com and browse thousands of fonts. Plus, these fonts sync with your Adobe account, so if you log into a new machine, your fonts will be automatically installed on your system.
