Array Functions

Many parameters in After Effects, such as position and scale, have two values. So far, our wiggle is affecting both X and Y. What if you wanted an expression to affect only X or Y? Array functions are a means of accessing the X or Y (or Z! or more!) data.

Couldn’t I just click Separate Dimensions and write an expression on just the X or Y control? You absolutely can. However, Separate Dimensions only exists in the Transform Position parameters—it ‘s not there for scale, or a position parameter not within Transform. I wouldn’t be talking about arrays if they weren’t useful!
