Animating a Mask

Let’s have the screen load by masking it, then animating it.

• Navigate to the Computer_Layers comp.
• Select Website Precomp.
• Select the Square Shape tool from the Toolbar (Q).

Just like how the Pen tool can make both shapes and masks, we can use our Shape tools to draw masks and shapes. Again, the difference is whether or not a layer is selected.

• Using the Square Shape tool, draw a mask around the screen big enough to include all of it.
