Generating Custom 3D Materials

With terminology and the various types of 3D assets and file formats covered in the previous chapter, we’ll now examine how to use different software to generate sets of assets for use in 3D applications, with a focus on designing materials. The primary tools you will use to produce materials in this chapter are Adobe Capture and Adobe Substance 3D Sampler.

Adobe provides several tools that produce materials that can be used across a variety of additional applications. Materials can be used in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Substance 3D Stager, and more.
