Photoshop Lesson 2: Introduction to Photoshop CC
In this lesson, you’ll learn the basic skills that you need to start to work in Photoshop. Simple tasks are covered, such as opening a file, cropping it to the size you need, and adjusting the image’s color. You will also find out what formats are best to save your image in, depending upon its use.

Starting up
Before starting, make sure that your tools and panels are consistent by resetting your preferences. See “Resetting Adobe Photoshop CC preferences” in the Starting up section of this book.
You will work with a file from the ps02lessons folder. Make sure that you have loaded the CClessons folder onto your hard drive from www.digitalclassroombooks.com/CC/DesignTools. See “Loading lesson files” in the Starting up section of this book.
In this lesson, you will open a file that represents a typical candid image that you might have in your own library. You will learn to crop, color correct, and resize the image. You will also learn to save it in the right format for both print and web or screen presentation.
