Chapter SevenWorking with Imported Artwork
Flash has a versatile set of drawing tools, but they may not always be enough to meet your needs. Perhaps you’re not very good at drawing from scratch, and you find it helpful to bring in outside images and trace them. Perhaps you prefer the tools in Fireworks or Illustrator and want to create your drawings in those programs. Perhaps you want to use bitmap images such as photographs or scanned artwork.
For reasons such as these, Flash lets you import artwork in a variety of vector and bitmap formats. In many cases, you can even modify the artwork in Flash. Thanks to the program’s flexible import capabilities, you can be an animator without drawing a single stroke.
