Applying bitmap image filters
Adobe Illustrator includes special-effects filters that you can apply to embedded bitmap images (also known as raster images) for a range of effects.
Filtering a bitmap image
Now you'll apply a filter to the embedded bitmap image of the sky to make it look less like a photo.
1. | In the Layers palette, click the lock icon next to the Photo layer to unlock the layer, letting you modify artwork on that layer. |
