Combining shapes
Adobe Illustrator includes numerous tools and commands that let you modify the shapes of objects. The Pathfinder commands change the shapes of objects by adding and subtracting the outlines, or paths, around them.
Uniting shapes into one
Now you'll add a circle shape to the rectangular flower vase and unite the shapes into one object.
1. | Choose View > Smart Guides to turn them on. Smart Guides give you information about the objects as you point to them. |
