Getting started
Before you begin, you must restore the default preferences for Adobe Illustrator. Then you'll open the art file for this lesson.
1. | To ensure that the tools and palettes function exactly as described in this lesson, delete or deactivate (by renaming) the Adobe Illustrator 10.0 preferences file. See “Restoring default preferences” on page 4. |
2. | Start Adobe Illustrator. |
3. | Choose File > Open, and open the L13strt1.ai file in the Lesson13 folder, located inside the Lessons folder within the AICIB folder on your hard drive.

4. | Choose File > Save As, name ... |
