Crop and Rotate

Reframing a photo can involve a slight adjustment to straighten a horizon or a major crop to emphasize something that was originally smaller in the scene. The Crop tool handles both.

1. In the Loupe, tap the Crop button.

2. If you want to use a preset aspect ratio, such as 16 x 9, tap one of the options at the bottom of the screen. Tapping the same option again changes the orientation of the frame (from wide to tall, for example).

3. Drag an edge or corner of the frame to resize the visible area of the photo. When the padlock icon at the right appears locked, the aspect ratio won’t change as you drag. To resize without a fixed aspect, tap the padlock icon to unlock the restriction.
