For all that it can do, Lightroom is its own island. Images go into the library, where you can edit them in all sorts of ways. They can be synced to Creative Cloud for viewing and editing on mobile devices, but they’re still in the Lightroom ecosystem. At some point you need a way to get your edited photos back out to the world, whether you’re sharing them to social media or making prints.
Lightroom Classic offers several bridges off the island. Most often you’ll export image files, which can be saved to your computer or in some cases uploaded directly to social sites. You can also print from Lightroom Classic and (in a limited way) the Lightroom mobile apps, a feature that isn’t possible at all in the Lightroom desktop app. ...
