A successful composite is all about verisimilitude: Even though we know it’s not, we should feel the image is real. The composite should encourage us to suspend our disbelief and be enthralled with what we see. To do so, the image has to look just “right” and not distract with technical tell-tales. Photography’s realism can lend credence to the new reality you construct from pure imagination, but it’s no replacement for good Photoshop skills. ...
