Patch Tool
The Patch tool (which is hidden under the Healing Brush, and looks like a Band-Aid in the Tools palette) is one of the most innovative yet simple tools ever. The general concept is simple. You select an area of your image that needs to be touched up (maybe a blemish on skin) (Figure 16.1), and then you click in the middle of the selection and drag it to an area of your image that has similar texture but with no blemishes. As you move your mouse, Photoshop will preview the area you're going to copy from in the area you initially selected (Figure 16.2).
