Tone and color corrections are the day-to-day operations that you use for most images, but of course Photoshop also offers incredibly powerful retouching tools that allow you to perform radical alterations to an image. Thanks to its selection and layering tools, Photoshop also provides powerful compositing features that let you do everything from performing simple adjustments and changes to making complex collages.
