Meet the Layers
Before you jump in and start creating a bunch of layers, you should get familiar with their place of residence: the Layers panel (Figure 3.2). You’re going to spend a lot of time with this panel, so take a moment now to get on friendly terms with it. It’s not terribly complicated, and after you’ve used the Layers panel a few times you should know it like the back of your hand.
