At the Core Is the Color Wheel

The vast majority of Photoshop’s color controls are based on a classic color wheel (Figure 8.1). If you understand a few basic concepts about the color wheel, you’ll be ahead of the game when controlling color in Photoshop.

Every color you’ve ever seen in Photoshop can be described as a combination of hue, saturation, and brightness (HSB for short). Let’s look at what these terms mean.
