Creating a Panoramic Image with Photomerge

The Photomerge feature automates the process of combining images into a seamless panorama. To prepare for a photomerge, you can simply take three or more photographs, usually from left to right, making sure that a portion of each image overlaps with the previous one.

To start creating your own panoramas, open the images in Photoshop and then choose File > Automate > Photomerge. The initial Photomerge dialog prompts you to specify which images you want to use to create a panorama. Because you’ve already opened the images you want to use, click the Add Open Files button (Figure 10.8). At left in the dialog are a number of layout options. For now, just choose Auto.
