Using Layer Styles and Comps
Layer styles allow you to manage layer effects and layer-blending options through a dialog-box-based interface. Layer effects offer you tremendous creative possibilities, and everyone from graphic and web designers to illustrators and digital artists use them every day. Layer comps can record all the layers’ styles, positions, and visibility settings; you’ll learn to use comps to explore design variations. In this chapter, you will re-create a piece of my digital art from a line drawing and in the process explore layer effects, styles, and comps.
