Cameras can be cruel devices in that they capture images with frightening clarity. Unless you are a member of the cameratoting paparazzi (who appear to enjoy making celebrities look as bad as possible), when most of us take a photograph of someone, we want to capture an expression reflective of the individual’s personality.
