The Guided Edit workspace is designed as an interactive help environment as it combines both the tools and the step-by-step instructions needed to complete a range of Photoshop Elements tasks. A variety of activity types and levels are included in the pane ranging from the simple, cropping and resizing photos, to the more sophisticated: combining differently exposed photos to produce a single, more detailed result using the Photomerge Exposure feature.

This is a good place to start when wanting to move from the simple ‘single button to make a change’ approach of the Organizer’s Fix pane to the fuller enhancement environment of the Edit workspace.
