Chapter 9. PRESENTING YOUR WORK
When your photos are processed to perfection, it's time to share them with the world.
Lightroom's presentation modules—Slideshow, Print and Web—provide a host of capabilities for these tasks.
Making and Presenting Slideshows
Lightroom's Slideshow module allows you to create and present slideshows complete with customized designs, soundtracks and effects.
However, be aware that currently, Lightroom's slideshow capabilities are limited compared with dedicated slideshow software. For example, if your intention is to burn the finished slideshow to a cd/dvd to give to the client, I suggest you consider using other slideshow software that will allow you to compile a self-playing executable file. (Search the Web to find good solutions for your os.) To make a slideshow outside Lightroom, you will need to export the files from Lightroom first, as described in Chapter 8. (jpg is probably the most common format for this, but some slideshow programs will let you import TIF files.)
With this in mind, if you choose to create and play your slideshow from within Lightroom, there are plenty of options available.
You can also export complete slideshows from Lightroom as PDF or JPG files.
Tip
