Appendix E. Third-Party Plug-Ins and 24P Support

With Adobe Premiere Pro’s expanded support of the After Effects plug-in architecture and its new 24P support, you now have more powerful plug-ins and video gear at your command. Here’s a brief guide to what’s available.

Third-Party Plug-Ins

Many third-party developers (in other words, companies other than Adobe) create and distribute effects and add on plug-ins for Adobe Premiere Pro. You can find plug-ins that help clean up image quality, enhance certain image properties, or provide 3D transitions and other effects. The list that follows will give you an idea of what is available. Where specified, you can install a demo version of the tools from the accompanying DVD.
