I prefer adding music after a cut is finished, unless the point of the edit is to cut to the beat. Mainly, hearing the same song over and over drives me nuts. Now that we’re happy with our cut, let’s add a tune to give it a little more energy.

Add the Music Track to the Timeline

• Locate Uku_jingle in the Music bin.
• Load it into the Source Monitor.
• There’s a slight delay before the song starts, so let’s set an In point at 00:00:00:05.
  

It’s best practice to put music in its own track, without any other dialog or sound effects.
