Premiere also works wonderfully with Adobe Audition, which is a standalone digital audio workstation (DAW). Audition offers a few effects that are more powerful than Premiere’s, such as Noise Reduction and Speed Change, so it’s worth exploring. Audition has two modes of operating: the Waveform Editor and the Multitrack Editor. The Waveform Editor is like Photoshop for audio. It’s a destructive editor, in that changes made to your waveform affect the audio file itself. This a quick and simple way to make audio changes. The Multitrack Editor functions like a Premiere timeline, only centered around audio.
