Preferences

There’s a lot in Premiere’s Preferences, and it’s good to know what’s changeable so you can make Premiere work for you. Accessing the Preferences is different on a Mac versus a PC. On a Mac, it’s under Premiere > Preferences > General (or whichever category you’d like to jump to). On a PC, it’s under Edit > Preferences > General. Many of these are straightforward, so we’ll cover the more cryptic ones.

Here, we can choose to show the Home Screen when starting Premiere, or have the software automatically open your most recent project. Choose how panels are opened under Bins and Projects.
