Statement of Purpose
INTRODUCTION
Students who wish to join a university are asked to submit a Statement of Purpose. It is an essay that briefly describes the career goals and research interests of the person applying for admission. Although the applicant’s eligibility is not decided on the basis of this essay alone, it plays a vital role in the admission process. The Statement of Purpose is the only part of the application process that informs the admission committee about the applicant.
