Overview

Renewable energy systems require a large number of converters and inverters. A concise, useful reference for engineering students and professionals, this book describes advanced DC/AC inverters and their applications in wind turbine and solar panel energy systems. It introduces more than 100 topologies of advanced PWM and multilevel inverters originally developed by the authors, including more than 50 new circuits. The authors also explain how to find the best switching angles to obtain the lowest total harmonic distortion (THD) for multilevel inverters.
