Summary

Flash Catalyst is a valuable tool and will change designer-developer workflow. Flash Catalyst will soon be

an integrated part of the development cycle and you will find it hard to work without it, mainly because it

will save you valuable development time.

The designer can create the artwork and adjust the artwork, as you need to make changes. While the

developer may be the one converting the artwork into code, designers and developers can work in parallel

to make the changes as required. For example, you may notice that adding a drop-shadow to a vector

graphic in Illustrator will convert the graphic into an image in Catalyst. This does not happen all the time

except in certain cases. You can work with the designer and have these images adjusted. As you work

with the designer, you can show him or her how you are working with Catalyst so the designer can slowly

take over some of the Catalyst work when he or she is ready.
