Analyzing Routes to External Connections
Another area to be concerned with in the EIGRP network implementation concerns the method of propagating routing information for external destinations; that is, sites that are not part of the AS, such as the partner networks attached to through the DMZ shown in Figure 7-7. You can classify these external sites in two ways: those that have a limited scope of addresses and those that don't. An example of the first type is connections from the AS into either another company's network, or other divisions of the company that fall under other administrative control. An example of the second type is the Internet connection.
