Polymeric membranes for natural gas processing

Abstract:

This chapter provides an outline of the use of polymeric membranes for processing natural gas. It describes the current range of natural gas sweetening operations in which such membranes are used and gives a summary of the membrane materials that are employed. This is followed by discussion of the operational and performance issues that can occur with membrane use and how these issues can be minimized by effective pretreatment and staging within a gas sweetening operation.
