What’s New for Presentation Graphics in PowerPoint 2007?
Because of the new graphics engine in the 2007 release, it’s fair to say that just about everything is new for PowerPoint presentation graphics. You still have AutoShapes, but they’re just called shapes now and they’re far more flexible. You still have WordArt, but it’s available to text in any shape. And, you still have a diagramming tool, but it’s like nothing you’ve seen before.
You can still use much of what you already know when working with graphics in PowerPoint—from shapes to connectors to the Align and Distribute tools. But there’s something new in almost every feature you’ll encounter, including the few I’ve just noted, so let’s take a look at your options one at a time.
