Geometric processing and positioning techniques
Abstract
The geometric processing and object positioning of remote sensing imagery are techniques used to map a remote sensing image into a specified object space coordinate system according to the geometric processing model of a satellite sensor with a few ground control points to acquire spatial information about the object in the area covered by the image. An investigation of the theories and methods of geometric processing as well as the object positioning of remote sensing imagery is important for accurate geometric processing of satellite remote sensing imagery and the faster generation of image products in different levels.
