No matter which telecommunication online platform is being used, the ability to meet remotely is a trend that accelerated during the pandemic and shows no sign of relenting. Rapid adoption of new digital tools has allowed companies large and small to stay engaged with colleagues, customers, and partners through lockdown and across time zones. In this chapter, one approach to transatlantic cooperation using the latest in remote technologies is illustrated.
18.1 TRANSATLANTIC COOPERATION
In March 2021, the technical teams at Sekisui Kydex, LLC (Bloomsburg, PA and Holland, MI) and Illig Maschinenbau GmbH & Co. KG (Heilbronn, Germany) began discussions on thermoformability of different grades of KYDEX® Thermoplastics antimicrobial (AB) materials. KYDEX recently launched premium KYDEX ION Technology™ leading to Illig and Kydex setting out to prove that KYDEX® T, KYDEX® T‐MB, and new KYDEX® T‐ION all perform similarly during the thermoforming process.
